Most kids
Wanted their closet door closed
When they went to sleep
So that the monsters wouldn't get them
This always seemed like
A failed concept to me
How would you know
When a monster was there or not?
So I always kept the door partially open
To lull the beast into
A false sense of security
Before I would bean it
With my little league baseball
Its a good thing one never appeared
I have terrible aim

I used to leave the door open so that I could escape. I was always worried that by closing the door i was trapping the monster IN the room.
