Ceilings that leaked
Washers that broke
Stairs that creaked
Lights that set off fire alarms
Smells that never seem to have a source
Rooms that comfortably fit one
Showers that left your teeth chattering
Animals that shouldn't be in your house to begin with
And yet
Years that I would never give up for the world
